College Football Week 2 Picks

Iowa at Iowa St. (+6.5, 44.5)
The Quick Zip:

  • The Cyclones struggled week 1 at home against Northern Iowa with four turnovers (3 INTs, 1 FL)
  • The Hawkeyes have been on another level than the Cyclones for a couple years. Nothing has changed and this should be a double digit spread
The Pick: Iowa -6.5

Oregon St. at Wisconsin (-20, 57.5)
The Quick Zip:
  • The Badgers offense is already firing on all cylinders and will have no problem having their way with the Beaver defense and putting points on the board
  • The Badgers defense continues to allow unnecessary late game scores, which should open the door for at least a couple Beaver TDs
The Pick: Over 57.5

Stanford at Duke (+20.5, 59)
The Quick Zip:
  • Andrew Luck and the Cardinal offense were just getting warmed up with a 54 point win over San Jose St. last week, as Luck only threw for 171 yards
  • Duke is coming off a disappointing loss to the Richmond Spiders of the FCS, so not likely ready to hang with one of the nation's elite offenses
The Pick: Stanford -20.5

UAB at Florida (-23.5, 53.5)
The Quick Zip:
  • The Gator offense looks to be back to true form having amassed 468 total yards in week 1, with 197 of them coming from the ground game
  • The Blazers are no stranger to the end zone, and if the Gators get sloppy on D, UAB should be able to find it at least a couple of times
The Play: Over 53.5

Notre Dame at Michigan (+3, 55.5)
The Quick Zip:
  • Once Tommy Rees found himself under center, he rejuvenated the Irish offense with 296 yards and 2 TDs, though he did have 2 INTs
  • Last week Michigan scored two defensive TDs and Notre Dame had five turnovers, both of which are unlikely to play out again for each team
The Play: Notre Dame -3
