CFB Week 6 - Quick Hit Picks

Things got off to a great start this week.  Oregon overcame a 15-14 halftime deficit to cover the 24pt spread with a 28pt win 43-15.  Then Boise State went into Fresno and handled their business winning 57-7.  Last week I talked myself into a couple silly mistakes, so time to learn from those and have a big Saturday.

Auburn at Arkansas (-10, 63.5): This is a match-up that could easily get into the 42-35 range.  Both like to score quickly and are strong on offense where the other struggles on D.
The Pick: Over 63.5

Mississippi State at UAB (+19.5, 51.5): UAB has only been close in their past two games because of turnovers in their favor.  The Bulldogs should be able to run all day on the Blazers.
The Pick: Mississippi State -19.5

Eastern Michigan at Toledo (-21, 52): EMU is a run-first team and it's possible they'll be down two backs for the game.  Toledo seemed to find its offense last week at Temple, and the Eagles just won't be able to keep pace.
The Pick: Toledo -21

Miami at Virginia Tech (-7, 45): Miami has lost to Maryland, beaten an offensively inept Buckeyes team, lost outright at home as a double digit favorite, then surrendered 216 rush yards to Bethune-Cookman.  Going into Blacksburg against a refocused Hokies team, which features one of the nation's top defenses and rushing offenses, is a losing recipe for the Hurricanes.
The Pick: Virginia Tech -7

Arizona at Oregon State (+2, 59.5): The Beavers four losses include two at home against UCLA and Sacramento State.  Arizona's four losses were at Oklahoma State, Stanford, Oregon and at USC.  Despite that gauntlet, the Wildcat's QB Nick Foles still boasts an impressive line of 1,872 yards with 14 TDs to only 2 INTs.
The Pick: Arizona -2

Florida at LSU (-13, 42.5): Florida is coming off a big loss at home to the Crimson Tide and might be forced to start a third-string QB.  The Tigers defense will contain the Gators and the offense should be able to pound the ball just as Bama did.
The Pick: LSU -13

Iowa State at Baylor (-15, 64): The Bears are looking to bounce back from a tough loss last week, so expect them to get out of the gates fast.  The Cyclones proved last week that they're powerless against a solid offense.
The Pick: Baylor -9 1H
