Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Alert for Week 6

You won't be able to turn on ESPN or visit any sports site without seeing Tim Tebow's name front and center.  It's no secret Tebow will be Denver's starter coming out of the bye week, but I have just one question, what happened to Brady Quinn?!  Even before the season started people (the Boncos included) said Tebow was the number three at best.  As of right now Quinn is still in the two spot on the depth chart listed on Yahoo! Sports.  Was there an injury I missed somewhere in there? How does a QB get leapfrogged on the depth chart mid-game? Quinn isn't under contract next year, so the way I see it the Broncos have basically said he better start shopping the market...

  • RBs: J. Battle (He burst on the scene with 119 yards, but also may have suffered a concussion. The Chiefs are on a bye this week, but given that they run their offense through the ground attack and D. McCluster and T. Jones haven't been producing, why not Battle?)
  • WRs: D. Baldwin (He was in the lineup with M. Williams on the sidelines and took full advantage of the situation with 9tgts/8rec/186yds/1TD.  A performance like that should earn him some extra time on the field.) J. Avant (Vick targeted him a team high 10 times and he came down with 9 receptions for 139 yards.  With the Eagles struggles I wouldn't be surprised for them to continue to look in new places for offense.) D. Heyward-Bey (I should have gone with my gut and had him on the list last week.  Even with J. Ford in the lineup DHB saw 12 targets and almost topped 100 yards with 1 TD.)
  • QBs: T. Tebow (He's finally here and brings some solid fantasy value given his threat to run the ball.) C. Painter (He was here last week and then delivered 277 yards and 2 TDs against the Chiefs. Though it's worth noting he was still only 15 of 27 and one of the TDs was another long Garon run.)
  • TEs:  J. Dreessen (With J. Casey going down with a pectoral muscle tear, and A. Johnson already out, there are plenty of targets to go around.  Dreessen could be a big benefactor from the injuries as he saw 9 targets for 5 catches and 112 yards and 1 TD.)
  • K: N/A
  • Def: N/A
