Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Alert for Week 9

It's a relatively slow week on the wire and there isn't anyone out there I'd break the bank to pick up.  There are, however, a few players it'd be worth grabbing as insurance.
  • RBs: J. Ringer (Given all of CJ2K's struggles, Ringer is a must add especially if you own Johnson.  Ringer finished the last game with 60 yards on 14 carries, compared to Johnson's 34 yards on 14 carries.) C. Brinkley (TBD if he suffered a concussion, but if Mathews has hammy issues and Tolbert is still out, look for Brinkley to lead the Chargers at RB.) L. Ball (With McGahee out, Ball made the most of his six carries going for 64 yards and a TD.  It's possible he could see additional work in tandem with Moreno.) T. Choice (Hightower goes down, and Shanahan wastes no time finding another horse to add to the stable.  Who know how he will factor into the mix, but I'm sure there's a 100 yard 2 TD game wating for him somewhere in the schedule.)
  • WRs: L. Robinson (Led Dallas with 103 yards on five catches and was second in targets to only Jason Witten.  Not a bad third option to Austin and Bryant as I'm still waiting for Romo and the Cowboys passing game to come around.) T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Palmer called him out specifically after letting the world know there wasn't room for T.O. on the Raiders roster.  I'd wait and see how this offense comes together, but he could end up as safety valve for Carson.)
  • QBs: N/A
  • TEs:  H. Miller (Big Ben has been warming back up to his TE as Miller has averaged 5 catches over the past three weeks.)
  • K: N/A
  • Def: N/A
